Fidan Hajiaga qizi Hajiyeva, born on September 7, 1976, in Baku, Azerbaijan, is a distinguished mezzo-soprano opera singer and a People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She serves as a soloist at the Azerbaijan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Early Life and Education
In 1984, Fidan began her musical journey by enrolling in the piano class at the Bulbul Secondary Music School. After completing her studies there in 1994, she pursued vocal training at the Baku Music Academy, studying under Professor Huseyn Aliyev. In 1998, she further honed her craft by attending master classes with the renowned Russian mezzo-soprano, Irina Arkhipova.
Professional Career
Fidan’s professional debut occurred in 1996 when she portrayed the “Singer Girl” in Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s opera “Koroghlu” at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Since then, she has taken on numerous leading roles in both national and classical operas, including:

This institution offers instruction in various musical disciplines, including vocal performance, piano, saxophone, violin, and guitar. The center has since evolved into the “Vocal Music School named after Fidan Hajiyeva,” with Fidan actively mentoring students and organizing concerts to showcase their development.
